It is an especially collaborative effort between the engineering and construction industries, which need to embrace a fundamental commitment and shift to performance-based practices—truly the BEST Management Practices (BMPs). Until now, decisions about erosion control have been based solely on purchase price rather than performance. Many people mistakenly think that cheaper CURRENT Management Practices (CMP) save money, but the fact is that CMPs actually cost more over the life of the project. The contractor, landowner, and the community end up paying more if you don’t use Filtrexx BMPs. We are passionate about educating you on the performance and the real costs of CMPs.

Foundation Courses
Foundation Courses teach the basic science behind the use of compost for stormwater management.
Core Courses
Core Courses examine Filtrexx Best Management Practices and provides a comparative review of commonly accepted CMPs. Using ASTM standards, we evaluate product performance and provide an objective yet truthful FU—Filtrexx University—review to products such as silt fence, straw wattles, coir logs, rock check dams, and other inferior Current Management Practices.
Professional Development Courses
Professional Development Courses extend your knowledge and provide the tools and resources needed to put it into practice. You can access Filtrexx specifications, download CAD drawings, explore our extensive Research Library, and even earn certification in the design and/or installation of Filtrexx applications.
CMPs will not lead us into a sustainable water future. It is the responsibility of engineers and contractors to understand and implement the BEST management practices.
